Kristin Fisher joined CNN in 2021. The reporter will serve as the Space and Defense Correspondent. As the Space and Defence Correspondent for CNN, she is responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and the newly formed Space Force up until commercial space-related companies and the growth and advent of tourism to space. Kristin was the daughter of NASA astronauts as well as a space enthusiast has spent her entire childhood in the industry. She served for five years in the position of White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Biden and Trump administrations. In that period, Kristin also reported on impeachment hearings for President Trump, the 2020 Presidential campaign and efforts by two administrations to combat the Coronavirus pandemic. She also traveled with President Trump and Vice President Trump often. This included a secret visit to Afghanistan. Kristin was a TV local reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., in which she was awarded an Emmy Award for her work as the "one-man-band" reporter, before joining CBS in 2015. With her experience in front of the camera Kristin created Field Mouse Films in 2014. The company specialized in making documentary-style films for corporate clients, such as Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has earned a Bachelor in Science in Journalism, which she obtained from Boston University. The couple's husband and daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
